It’s more or less confirmed that Nick “The Mutant” Walker is doing the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro. That’s right, bodybuilding is back in Pittsburgh, and the fans couldn’t be any happier. Walker has been a longtime fan-favorite for his offstage demeanor and the fact he loves to battle on stage. He’s larger than life and is a mass monster if there ever was one. We all know how much the Olympia crowd values size. It’s been that way since Ronnie in 2003, Dorian in the 90’s and when Lee Haney totally transformed the look of the top bodybuilder in the world.

It’s great news that Derek Lunsford will be doing the 2025 Arnold Classic. It’ll be interesting to see him on the same stage as reigning Mr O Samson Dauda, but it will be equally interesting not to see Hadi Choopan there. Whereas Samson left his old coach and has been working with his wife, Lunsford is said to have been working with his new coach for the last five weeks, according to his own statement. Some writers and influencers seem to believe they know who the new coach is. I can’t say that I do and if I said the name I think it is, I’d be totally speculating. I don’t know that that would really contribute very much to the conversation.

We have all seen the power of social media over the years. Kali is an individual who has created a brand for himself that has evolved over the years. He is someone who got started doing prison videos and evolved into a fitness celebrity, a motivational speaker, and a gamer and more. When he got off the ground he was talking about life in the pen. He discussed how to create prison meals and how to get around prison politics and be successful behind bars. At the time people were enthralled by that. I myself being a licensed attorney have never really cared much about prison life. I value my freedom and I certainly would never put myself in a position to live as a number.
