Not long ago, I had the worst boss in the history of bad bosses.

I quickly discovered that it was in my best interest to maintain a friendly and respectful relationship with him……while maintaining my distance whenever possible.

There are some people that you just cannot have a reasonable dialogue with. So why waste time trying to have one?

Notes for today: Had some light back pumps yesterday so I began dosing 4g taurine per day. So far, has alleviated back pumps. They weren't really painful, just a bother. Supplementing taurine to keep them from hindering workouts.

Fried. Quick and dirty today with no time for cardio. Will def be splitting up stuff from now on to make sure I get enough volume work in and have time for cardio. Maybe a 2 supersets of 4 sets in each AM and PM session.

Supersets done as yesterday. 2 supersets, 45 sec break, 2 supersets for 4 cycles of each. Then I did 25 min of cardio on the elliptical. Was in, out, and back home in about an hour. I think this could end up working out for a good split to keep me getting the volume I want and the cardio I need.

PM work to come. Will add in 2 more superset cycles for legs and tris and more cardio.

1/17 PM Work:

Ok....so workout schedule was altered due to travel. Had to head home to NW Ohio to visit my grandmother. She was recently diagnosed with cancer in mid Dec and her body has began to fail since Jan started. Her strength has failed so much that she really can no longer sit on her own and she's not likely long for this world. Spent some time visiting with her and took my wife and the 3 kids to visit because I knew it would brighten my grandma's day.

On another note, changed diet up to get back into carb backloading. Making some tweaks to do workouts early am as that fits better than mid-afternoon for carb backloading as it requires a lot less modification and I'm not able to workout at 5 pm anymore due to family obligations. I think this will help me lose the tons of bodyfat I want to lose, while still making my diet a little easier for me since having kids around tempts the shit out of me lol.

Got some good work in this morning. Could have put in a few more sets I think, but wanted to get home since the snow is around again and I needed to see what was going on with the kids today since they weren't cancelled at that time.

Then I turned around to hit my next set and there's an asshole doing pullups in it. I was pissed...Just stared at him for like 10 min...no matter what machine he went to. He later went on to jump someone else while they were trying to do leg raises...dickheads and their silly speed circuit training or whatever he was doing. Learn some manners.

Oh well. It's cold as shit here again...tired of this already. Is it time for spring yet?

Today's workout was done in the afternoon because the alarm went off this morning and I said nope...not a chance lol. Just didn't have the energy level to devote to a good workout so I scrapped it and was going to just move it to tomorrow with Shoulders. Kept getting the itch at work and checked to make sure my nutrition with CBL wouldn't be affected, realized no, and said lets go lift!!

Was feeling really good on bench today. Nice way to send out my SDMZ log as I'm down to my last two days of dosing. Surprised at how strong I've been feeling even on Day 9 of 30g of carbs or less. Tonight will be my first day of backloading. Hoping that it will help boost my strength so that maybe another PRwill be in reach tomorrow on the squat.
 
How's the carb backloading working out for you?

Tonight is the first load...book says I should load 550g carbs...I laugh lol.

I'm shooting for around 200-250. Tomorrow is legs so I think it should be ok. I'm gonna try to temper it up so I don't overdo it. Lost 6 lbs in the keto dump so hoping some of that stays off too lol
 
Yeah you can. The 9/10 pm is more of an issue. I think the recommendation is to go through usual sequence - low carb before 5 and then u have a carb meal pre workout to get most of the carbs in and then shake after I think? I'll have to look up the details again tomorrow.

Early am ones are easy...u load the night before and train fasted. Then small amt of carbs post workout. Then back to low carb till 5ish

Horizontal Calf - 270x10 (x3), 80x15 (x3, single leg) (these were superset in last 2 set extension and then curls)

Heavy squatting was just not happening today. Mental focus was severely lagging today. Sleep last night was hard to come by and I was very groggy this morning. Cut squats short actually since stabilization was not good and I didn't want to get injured. Still managed to get in a good workout after the fact by employee some other techniques and working more machines to exhaust muscles today. Sadly, 410 will not be coming on this cycle.

Today is my last doses of SDMZ 3.0 so I will post up a final review of it some time tomorrow with a final workout. Stay tuned!

All work done in 30 min. Triceps were thoroughly fried.
 
Ok. Time for some final thoughts on my experience with SDMZ 3.0


First, lets discuss the negatives. It's a much shorter list. So the few minor negatives that experienced was mostly just related to some back pumps and the extra aggression generated. However, back pumps were not crippling in the least and mine were dealt with using a small 4g dose of taurine on a few days. My biggest negative is that I'm now out of pills lol.


Ok. The positives.


Dosing - I include this because at 2 pills a day, it's simple and not annoying to take a zillion pills. Also, I feel that the dosing could be very flexible between 1 or 2 pills day.


Focus/Aggression - I feel like SDMZ added a nice focused feeling in the gym. Some extra aggression to want to destroy the weights and get shit done. Every session on this was productive.


Endurance - I feel like there was definitely an increased endurance in the gym while dosing SDMZ 3.0 and that it helped to add a few additional reps/sets to workouts every time out. I just didn't ever want to put the weights down.


Pumps - The pumps in the gym were crazy on this. Even without any pre-wo or pump products, it made the muscles feel like they were going to pop.


Overall, I was able to increase strength and weight stayed around the same while I slimmed down some and was eating at a caloric deficit. Anytime strength can be increased while eating at a deficit, I think you've got a strong product. I was also happy to see that sides seemed to be mitigated at best and that I didn't have any adverse effects that were easily felt. I typically am prone to bp issues, but had zero concerns over that while running SDMZ. I am very satisfied with my experience on SDMZ 3 and would gladly recommend it to others.

I can definitely see this being a go to designer. Great results and great flexibility with little to no negative.

My hats off to IML for this for sure. Can't wait to see what other badass stuff they can come up with next!
