Interested to see if you guys have any reccomendations as far as what to add to get that pre workout "tingly"/"energy"/whatever you want to call it feeling. I've been taking pres now for so long and have become so stim tolerant that I feel like I have to take way more than the reccomended dose to get it. It's not really anything necessary, but it was just nice to get me extra pumped for a lift. I'm currently taking Pre-Jym by Jim Stoppani and have really become a fan of the dude, he provides tons of research for all his stuff, gives full dosages of all the necessities, and doesnt use any propriety blend. I take it more for the actual benefits of it rather than the "energy" feeling that most pres go for. Not really looking for a new preworkout per se since I really like the Pre-Jym, but just seeign what I could maybe add to it. I'm guessing Beta Alanine, but is there is already some in it, is there a "too much" point for that stuff? Just interested in some viewpoints, not tryin to get the dreaded "best pre workout" discussion going haha.

I always like taking creatine and beta alanine in addition to a preworkout if I am using one to get that extra feeling. Besides that, I wouldn't recommend taking a bunch of shit. I don't see why you can't add more I just wouldn't try to over due it. Be reasonable really.

I think its best not to get into the bad habit of using a pre workout every time you go to the gym. Less frequent use will help each use be more effective. When I first discovered pwos I was taking them so much that they all became useless. I stopped for a good while and that helped alot. No matter how good any one particular brand is, continous use will desensitize your body to it.

I agree. I had to quit using preworkouts for the past year cause it was just a waste for me since I felt no effects from them.

Well, I'm a complete psycho and need caffeine/stims to function for work AND workouts. To me, cycling off PWO just means drinking boat loads of coffee. These days I'm loving our own Max Pump (has a ton of goodies in it). Btw, if you're looking for a little trick to help feel your PWO kick in faster, try chewing up an 81mg Aspirin tab right before your PWO drink. :D

I'll be dead really soon. :p The aspirin trick is actually an old one...you youngsters don't know about that! :) And daily 81mg aspirin is a standard dose for many people trying to avoid heart attack or stroke...granted, you don't necessarily need it.

okay cool, I mean I guess it would make sense may thin the blood a little and shuttle the preworkout more ... I'll give it a try my next back and bi day

Has it been brought up that Caffeine isn't even spelled right on your Max Pump Nutrition Label.....

You need to cycle off of stim products for them to continue to work, period. You have probably already fried your adrenergic receptors at this point. They can easily become responsive again but only with a good break from stim products.

I am a stim junkie too and HATE cycling off but it needs to be done if you want them to remain effective.

Thinking about tryin this "angel dust" that a lot of people seem to like see if that does the trick for me ... weird that caffeine is also spelled wrong on its label as well haha am I the only one that finds thats really weird? It's obviously not a big deal but I mean come on you cant have misspellings on a label going out to customers lol
