Okay I've seen 2 threads just browsing over the last couple of weeks about 18 year olds wanting to start gear. At 18 I weighed 145-150 lbs and was benching 235. Like most 18 year olds I was in a rush to do everything. I got a tattoo on my 18th birthday that no longer fits my arm because my body wasn't even close to being fully developed. From 18-21 I lifted very sparingly because I no longer had sports to be in shape for. Through those years with very little lifting I still went up in weight to 175 and I was pretty much partying 3-4 nights a week and still maintained roughly 13 % bf. By 25 I was about 185 but the rest of that weight was probably just body fat from poor dieting, partying and just not caring. Still looked in shape and didn't have any problems getting the ladies to come home with me so I didn't care. Anyways the point is for all the teenagers that look at these forums just do yourself the favor and wait. Your body will grow. If you lift big and eat big by the time your 21-23 you will be huge. You will be way ahead of most people that let there bodies go to shit and decide to start later like I did.

I agree with what is said here. When I was 18 I was 6'0'' and 150 pounds. I would bet my body fat was about 15%.

BY the time I was 23 I was 6'3'' 200 pounds 15% body fat. Your body is still changing so much at that age their is no reason to juice and screw up your long term hormone balance. I have a Doctor friend that sees patients all the time that have low T in their mid twenties because they did steroids in high school. Their to young to put on TRT so he cannot do anything for them.

I am now 49 years old 238 pounds at 10% body fat. If you are 18 just be patient give yourself a few more years naturally before you decide to do anything.

I agree... I wanted to at 18. After benching 415 and squatting 565 both raw and completely natural at 18yo, I decided to take the plunge at 19. Sure my strength may have soared hundreds of lbs over my past total, but I was no where near losing any progress or even slowing down.. I was still making gains on the daily naturally.. I wished I would have waited AND pushed for a 500 bench naturally and a 675 squat (I didn't begin deadlifting until after I started prohormones at 19).

Ya I actually just did creatine
Didn't even try creatine until after a few prohormone cycles. lol Now it's a staple.. 12-15g daily.

Edit: Ftr, 24yo now.. ;)

My rule of thumb has always been 21yrs of age.

Depends on the individual. Most people agree its average for the endocrine system to be at full maturity between the ages of 21-25. More towards the latter. With ur doctor saying that ur too young for trt it sounds like u have a doctor that is unwilling to look at the numbers on a test and give u a rx based on numbers that clearly show a person in need. I recommend you get ahold of envizion medical in Florida. They are amazing. Tell him Aaron Singerman sent u.
