any light anyone wants to shed on what calf exercises they do and work for them. I rotate between seated, standing and leg press calf extensions yet no matter how much hard work i put into them, god bitchslapped me with no genetics in that area.

Any help would be great no one wants to walk around with a block body on sticks
 
Try light weight for 20 reps. Do regular calf raises, then do them with your toes pointed in, then with your toes pointed out. 3 sets of 20 each way. My buddy who has monster calves (all natural) taught me this.
 
Donkey calf raises always work good for me...just have some hot chicks sit on ur back while u do them...
 
I incorporate my calves with my leg press so that I get full range of motion out of my legs.
 
For stubborn calves I recommend using every and any method known to whip them into submission including extreme stretching etc. Great calves are highly genetic based but one can build respectable calves if you are willing to put in the work and suffer through the pain. GOOD LUCK!
 
I had the same thing. I have sucky calve genetics as well but I started about a year ago with more sets about 6 sets of 20-30 of a moderately heavy weight and use the leg press for another 6 sets. I gained size after I started dedicating time to calves as I do to any other muscle. I find stretching after every few sets helps me out too.
