So, we all know of that magical "post show anabolic window" after dieting and depleting down for a show. And of course, I'd like to take full advantage of this coming off my prep from the Southern USA's. However, given all the supps I was taking during my prep, I don't want to put any more stress on my body in that regard. So that's why I'm opting to run one of my IML personal favorites Osta RX for it's androgen receptor stimulation, increasing lean body mass, strength and bone density, as I rebound with inducing any more bodily stress.

It's been 10 years since my last show and I can't really recall how I rebound or what exactly I did (if anything) post show. Granted, this is a time where I would be growing, gaining size and strength regardless, but I really like to document this rebound as a reference for myself and for others to fallow along with as well.

I've been keeping up with my morning dry weight ever since I started my hard depletion one week out from the show all the way up until now. At my weigh-ins I was 185lbs. The morning after finals I was 188lb while Monday 2 days post show, I was 199lbs. I had a few (or more) treats Sunday, but have stayed the course of a typical off-season clean diet today. Just a good balance of protein, clean carbs and fats in every meal.

Just had my first real training session tuesday evening (delts and triceps). Going into it I wasn't feeling too optimistic given how I was feeling in the gym the couple weeks prior to the show (tired, drained, weak). But lemme tell ya boy, I was jacked, strong, full, pump and looking big as a house. It was the best training session I've had in months, and has really got'n me excited for the weeks to come as I rebound.

I just pop'd my for 3 Osta caps sunday and will continue to do 3/day for 4 weeks and then see where I stand.

My training is a 2 day on 1 day off split as I only work every 3rd day as a firefighter.

Day 1: Back
Day 2: Chest/Biceps
Day 3: Off
Day 4: legs
Day 5: Delts/tricps
Day 6: Off
Repeat:

I doing about 4-5 exercise per body part depending on how I feel and what body part I'm training. I'll only do 2 set per exercise but I'll be doing a rest pause on each set with about 12 seconds on the pause.

Macro's will be about Protein: 400g, Carbs: 350g training day, 200g off days Fats: 50g training days, 80g off days.

Sources: Proteins 50% whey, 50% from red meat, chicken, turkey and egg whites. Carbs white rice, sweet potatoes, oats, fruits and dextrose post training. Fats: mainly just peanut butter.

Nothing really in stone as for the sources, just whatever is convenient for me on any particular day, however, I will be consistent with the macro portions. And of course a cheat once or twice a week.

And that's about it folks. Here are some candid shots from today's first post training session: This is the biggest I've looked under 200lbs

Yesterday was my first day back on shift since the show (I took the last 4 weeks off leading up to the show cause I had lots of leave saved so figured it was a good time to cash in on it) so it was a bit of an out of the ordinary day for me get'n back into to swing of things at work again.

On shift I normally won't train unless I'm catching up on a body part I missed. But will typically do some cardio and stretching at a near by gym they let us go to on shift.

But yesterday I did a little super set of leg ext/curls for 4 sets real light fallowed by a set of calf raises and 20min on the bike. Decided to do this little leg circuit cause its been a good while since I trained legs before the show and just wanted to move some glycogen around too. Got a nice pump and felt pretty good.

Dry weight was 204lb yesterday morning so up 5lbs from the previous morning. I won't be able to get a dry weight when I get off in the morning cause ill be waking up here at the station but will check it as soon as I get home with meal one in me.

I did look a bit more spilled over yesterday, which is expect but of course fuller as well. I'll be training back this evening, will report back.

Get'n caught up from yesterday. As I said got off shift yesterday morning, had one meal (3 scoop of WPI, 8oz sweet potato and a liter of water). Bout an hour later got home and checked weight at 211lb so I imagine about 210lb dry. So that's a 6lb gain from the previous morning. Later on had my first offseason back session, it was insane. Strength was pretty much on par with what it when I started dieting. The pump was even better though.

I eat more than usual, mainly cause I was just hungry. I drank 1 1/2 gallons of water and had 9 meals rather than my usual 6 or 7. Nothing out of the ordinary though, just about 15-20% more of my normal macro's. It was my biggest eating day since the show, but still clean. But despite all the extra food I still this morning was only 213lb, just up a couple from the previous day. Obviously I'm not gonna continue with the 5lb daily gains like I was but I would venture to say that if my macro amounts where my usual, I may have been the same weight as the day before. I'm gonna scale my macro's back to my normal range today and I suspect in the morning my weight will be the same (around 213 or so)

I just left the gym this morning. Only went to get the kids out of the house and do a little stretching and cardio (30min LI). I'm going back this evening for chest and biceps and catch you guys up on it tomorrow on shift.

Here are a couple of shots after yesterdays back session. It was a different gym so the lighting is a little different from the first set of pics. Tonights session will at the gym of the first pics so there will be a better comparison when I get pics tonight.

The pics here are a blurry cause my hands were so pumped after training back my grip was a bit shaky.

Thanks guys. Man, it sooo refreshing to be able to train and actually FEEL like you're with the pumps and all. I was feel'n big as a house in the gym today. Chest and biceps, can't recall last time they pumped like they did today. Still stayed the course of my normal offseason macro's both in quantity and quality. As I said earlier today, dry weight this morning was 213lb, just weighed at my same home scale after post training meal at 218lb. So anxious to see where I am dry tomorrow. Here are some snaps from todays post training session (same room and lighting from the first post in this thread where I was just about 200lb even)

It's been officially one week since the show and that Ive been on the Osta. Thursday the 6th I had planed on scaling back to my normal macro amount but just felt like eating, so I did an extra couple meals but of the same clean meals. Woke up the fallowing morning with an empty weight of 221lb which is an 8lb gain from the day before. I thought this was gonna be the day that my weight gain would start to slow down, however, This was actually the biggest weight gain ive had in a day since the show.

I was on shift yesterday and will be today as well (doing a double) so wasn't able to check my weight this morning as we don't have a scale at the station.

I had planned on at least doing a little cardio on shift yesterday but my officers and call volume had me too busy to get around to it. Hoping today to break away from the station to do a little lower body circuit. I'll check back in tomorrow.

Day 8 of the Osta. Just got off my 48hr shift. After being on my feet all day for the first 24hr and all the extra macros I had been eating my water retention had got'n a little out of control on Friday. Had some pretty bad ankle edema and foot swelling. Most of the vains were washed out as well. I actually went by the the local publix on shift for my groceries for that night with the rest of the shift and checked my weight there at 229!! I had my boots and all on but still would probably would have been a solid 225 without clothes. I could feel the swelling in my fingers and hands and also had a bit of a head ache too. So I scaled back on my condiments and carbs for the rest of the day and the day after.

Finaly this morning I could tell the swelling from the retention had subsided for the most part. Got home and checked my weigh this morning after meal 1 at 216lb and feel a LOT more comfortable now.

just finished up with delts and triceps and again felt like a complete animal from the pump and looked but as a house in the mirror. Here are today's post traing shots.

So Monday (2 days ago) I was on shift and planned on a lower carb day as I dont do any weight training, but......There's this Chinese buffet that my crew and often frequent on shift (when I wasnt dieting). All the way leading up to the show we didn't go cause my crew knew that I couldn't eat, but all my lieutenant has been talking about for the last 3 shifts I've been back was treating me to the buffet. I kept telling him that I didn't think my body was ready for a sodium, carb, fat overload (cause if I go to a buffet, I'm all in, no holding back). So I held off from caving in as long as I could

Well, Monday he brought it up again and said he's was about to start his diet today so wanted to have our last Chinese buffet go round yesterday. So I thought to myself, "well, it's been a good 8 days since I've had anything dirty so what the hell, lets get it!). BIG MISTAKE. I pretty much made myself sick lol. Fortunately we didn't have a single call after that so I was able to kick back a bit.

Weight wise, as I posted last I was 216lb sunday morning. That Monday morning I was still only 217lb so happy to have only went up a pound even considering I had a big clean carb day the Sunday before. I wasn't able to check my weight Tuesday morning because I had to hold over until noon for our monthly career training but I knew I had to have been at least in the 220's as my ankles had swelled back up and also noticed the lower back starting to hold a lot of water too. My head and back where aching from however much water weight I had gain so I knew my weight was up there.

By the time I got home from training I had had 3 meals in me and tip'd the scales at 229lb. So back up to my heaviest weight again. I was pretty wore out from the training. As if the rapid body weight gain wasn't enough physically stressful, we trained on high rise pack evolutions. So I was carrying an extra 12lb or so of water weight on top of 40lb of bunker gear, on top of a 60lb SCBA are bottle on my back, on top of a 50lb high rise pack over my should climbing countless flights of stairs. I was SPENT by the end of the training.

So I rested up well at home, dozed off the best I could in the recliner with my kids running all around the house. Then I headed to the gym for my back workout a few hours later that evening.

Despite the exhaustion I had suffered that morning I still had a great session. Great pump, strength was up felt huge, looked huge. Here are some pics after the session at 229lb, I'm sure you can notice the obvious extra water and "fluff" around my abs, but I plan on cleaning it up today and tomorrow and hopefully be back down below 220 tomorrow morning when I go back into work. I was already back down to 223lb this morning fasted.

Trained chest and biceps this morning. Once again strength and pumps are still on the rise. This is the first time I have ever taken anything come'n off of a show. Granted it's a time when pumps and strength are gonna increase during this anabolic window of sponge like cells, but by incorporating the Osta has really pushed it over the edge to the next level. It's like the icing on the cake. I figure the gains from this first 2 weeks may strictly be from the post show rebound effect, while the 2nd week will be when the Osta will really start to kick in. So I really don't expect these gains to subside for another couple weeks, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what the next couple weeks has in store as for my gains in size, strength and also just overall appearance.

I guess posting these pics of pretty much the same poses on a day to day or every other day basis my be a bit much, but if you look close from the first set of pics just 10 days ago until now, you can really see the difference. I took some of a couple different poses today after training just for something a little different. again right at about 225lb here today.

Was gonna up date yesterday but my officers and call volume didn't leave me with any free time on shift. I did low carbs the day before (about 200g) and then did another low carb day on shift yesterday (only about 150). I did get a chance to do about 30min on the bike with some abs yesterday though. Thought that the 2 days of low carbs would of had my body weight lower this morning but after my first meal this morning (3 scoops of whey, 10oz sweet potato and 1 liter of water) I was still 222lb, so I was actually up a pound from the morning before.

I trained my lower body circuit this morning. For those who have fallowed my logs before know that I don't really train my lower body hard or heavy at all. Just super setting some leg ext, leg curls and some calves at the end with about 20min of bike. So nothing really excited today.

I am gonna try and keep the carbs low today again (around 200 or so) and maybe a higher day tomorrow when I train delts and triceps. My ankles still haven't been back to normal since the show, still holding some water. Anxious to see when they finally get back to normal as that for me is the tale tell sign of my body being settled back into homeostasis. Only time will tell I guess.

I'm gonna chill on the pics for now, as I've been taking them almost daily, but now that I'm almost 2 weeks post show, things aren't changing as rapidly anymore.

I'll report back tomorrow with another fasted body weight and a fallowing up of the training session.]]

Today is officially 2 weeks since the finals. Not exactly sure what I weighed that night but I remember fully depleted I was 185lb. This morning empty stomach I was 222lb, the same as the morning before, but I'm looking tighter as the post show water retention is starting to finally subside (ankle bones are popping out again). So I feel my body is finally just about acclimated to a normal off-season carb and sodium intake, I'm still gonna take it easy the next few days on the carbs and sodium though. I've been on low to moderate carbs the past 3 days (about 150-250g). Today I'll probably do about 350-400 and back down to 150-200 tomorrow since I'll be on shift and not training. Very anxious to see how everything settles in the next 2 weeks as I finish the Osta and my body is completely settled physically.

Had a killer delt and tricep session today. Probably the most pumped I've been since starting my contest diet. Strength is still on the rise too. Weight at the gym with clothes and 3 meals in me was 225lb. So since it's been exactly 2 weeks since the contest and I'm up exactly about 40lbs from full depletion I figured it'd be cool to show a comparison pic from full depletion to today's session.

So here it is: 185lb fully depleted and 225lb 2 weeks post show...

I really didn't plan in gaining weight as fast as I have been. I've actually been trying hold back on my sodium and carbs. Still don't think I'm past that sponge like cell saturation. Hoping my body will settle into homeostasis soon.

I did 3 those 3 days of low/moderate carbs and had intentions of keeping it that way on Saturday (the fallowing day) but felt I a higher day would do me some good so I went about 500 or so, with a good bit of all natural peanut butter too. I was 227lb that fallowing morning before going to work. Then did about just under 200gramz of carbs I'd say that day (such was yesterday). This morning I was 225lb, so the 2lb drop didn't come S a surprise given my lower carbs yesterday. Not sure how I'm gonna do my carb amount today but it will be clean and at least 200g as ill be training back this evening.

btw my protein is always the same as well as my fats (for the most part). Only fluctuating my carbs.

Cruising on into week 3 of this thing. Body weight was 224lb this morning (down a pound from the day before) even after a higher carb day yesterday (about 350-400) had a late training session. Today I got my training done early and subsequently so was my carb intake. Got about 200 grams in by about 2:00 then nothing but protein and fats the rest of the day. I'm on shift again tomorrow so not training and lower carbs again (200 or under). So I expect to be around the lower 220's by Thursday morning when I get off.

Had an amazing training session both last night (back) and this morning (chest and biceps). Much to my surprise my pumps are getting even more intense still. Strength still getting back up to par of a full blown off-season.

I upped my does to 4 caps/day. Being how I've always only done 3 in the past and that this ain't my first rodeo with osta (or any other PH's or designers for that matter) I decided to finish out this last 2 weeks with 4.

I'm gonna chill on the pic posting as my weight fluctuation is starting to settle so not much difference from day to day like the first couple weeks.

I'll be chime'n back in the next couple days. This has been a fun ride thus far for sure...

Just got off shift this morning and after day 2 of low carbs I figured I'd be at least a pound or 2 lighter, however, I was actually 2lbs heavier then the day before (227lb). But being how I AM in the middle of week 3 of the Osta its probably really starting to kick in now anyhow. Still the leanest upper 220's I've ever been. Had a good leg circuit this morning, nice quad/ham pump from my leg ext/curls. I'm still training my calves heavy as big calves really aren't a nuisance like big thighs are.

Not sure what ill do with my diet the rest of the day, whether upping clean carbs, having a cheat tonight (haven't had one in 10 days) or just keep my carbs low still since I already got my training done for today. Just gonna play it by ear. My wife is a teacher and is out for summer, so I'm a little more random with my diet when the wife and kids are out of school because the whole "family thing." Ill be training delts and triceps tomorrow and will definitely go higher carbs if I don't today. So what I do with my eating tomorrow will be dependent on how I eat today.

Saturday exactly 3 weeks since the finals. On shift again today. My first day off shift I was 227 as mentioned in the last post. By my second day off I was 223 morning fasted. I'm starting to feel that all the rapid weight gain is adding bodily stress to my days on shift as I'm on my feet laboring a good portion of the day, sometimes with an added 60lbs worth of bunker gear. Because its always at the end the working portion of the shift when I actually get to sit down (sometimes not til 7pm) that I notice ankle swelling. On my first day off it subsides a little, then by the 2nd day off its subsided even more, only to swell back up on day 3 when I go back on shift. I believe that why I am sometimes heavier getting off in the mornings despite eating lower carbs. I guess the stress holds the water weight on me rather than pissing it out? I don't know.

anyhow, workouts were pretty insane the past 2 days still getting out of this world pumps. After delts and triceps yesterday morning my arms looked bigger than ever. I ended up eating clean lower carbs my first day off (Thursday) and then yesterday had I high carb day with a few cheats the last couple meal. And when I say a few I mean A LOT : ) it had been 11 days since a cheat and my folks and my family were getting together one last time before moving away, so I felt the time was appropriate to let myself go a bit. This morning I was 231lb, heaviest post show weight yet. Ill be eating lower carbs today and tomorrow so anxious to see where my weight settles by Monday morning when I plan on having a higher clean carb day for a late evening chest and bicep session.

here are some pics from yesterday's session, about 225lbs here.

Wow nice weight gain man!!! Awesome work :) Def. curious how this Osta RX works :)

Thanks guys.

It's been 4 days since my last update. Only got 3 more days left before this 4 week log is a rap. As mention my last update I was 231lb after a big cheat night. Been eating clean lower carbs the past 4 days (<200), and this morning was back down to 228lb. Don't want to go any more than 4 days in a row of carbs see'n how I'm offseason now so I'm having a higher clean carb day (350-400). Just had a late night delt and tricep session. Again, can't put into words how extreme these pumps are, so ill just leave it at that.

As mentioned before the extra weight on my feet all day on shift i felt was really adding stress to my body so I took a shift off yesterday witch gives me a 5 day break. Ive just been staying off my feet as much as possible and the lower body water retention is really starting to subside. Ankle bones are sharp again and vains are popping out in my calves and quads. Hoping that I've seen the end of the water weight. Here are post training shots from today. Different gym with different lighting but you get the jist.

Wrapped up this run yesterday at the end of week 4. I had some highs and lows the past couple weeks with my body weight, seemingly due to water retention. However, this last week the retention has seemed to finally subside leveling my body weight out in the upper 220's and lower 230's depending on where I am in my carb cycling. Empty stomach yesterday morning was 227lb after about 4 days of moderate to low carbs. That day had a high day with a late night cheat, leaving my empty weight this morning at 232lb. That has been the pattern this past week so I imagine that's the range where I am now settled. The weight is all relative so more importantly I'm really happy with the way I'm looking. It's the biggest and fullest I've looked at this weight. My strength is also fully back up offseason par.

Overall this has been a really enjoyable run with all the rapid changes with weight, strength, fullness. Its exciting to watch this kind of progress almost on a daily basis. This is all part of a positive post show rebound anyhow but the addition of the Osta really allowed for a big kick start, slingshotting me right into full blown offseason strength, fullness and mind boggling pumps.

I'm now gonna be giving my body a break from supps for a few months, maybe even the rest of the year as I've been hit'n pretty hard since March when I decided to compete again.

Thanks to all who've been fallowing along. And there will be many more Osta runs in my future. Here are my final pics fallowing yesterday's training:

Just a little over 5 weeks post show now. Been off the Osta for a week now. My weight has actually climbed up to the mid-230's and holding there now and looking tighter now too since the water retention is gone. Here are some official full blown offseason shots in the trunks.

I have been following awesome pics my brother and inspiring I'm looking forward to using osta in late september as a bridge

Is it possible to take osta post show and recover test levels at the same time? I would love to try osta after my next show.
