Hey guys,
I've been battling with low T for about a year now and trying to get the Doc to get me on TRT, due to zero energy, motivation or sex drive. Also been having trouble losing weight, I normally lean out without a problem.
My latest blood week done a few weeks ago came back 198 syrum and 8 free test.
After seeing the 198 I thought for sure they would get me going on the shots but the Doctor said that my free test number (8) was normal. I have done some searches and it looks like 8 is normal for a 55-65yr old man..I am 36!.
Am I frustrated for no reason or are these levels way too low for a 36yr old?

They did give me 25mg daily of Clomid but mentioned that they only did it because the wife and I are trying to have a baby.
Will the Clomid help my levels and give me some energy back?

Clomid would work for low T if your problem stems from secondary hypothyroidism. That means the testes are working fine, but the pituitary or some other hormonal causing them to not produce testosterone. If you have problems with primary hypothyroidism, meaning the testes aren't working right, the clomid won't help. So I would think taking Clomid is a good way to tell which is the problem.

Clomid is what my M.D. prescribed for me as well when I messed up PCT years ago. Test was like 250. Got on Clomid and 3 weeks@ 50mg it doubled. Eventually it got as high as 850 and im 45.

There's always other doctors out there..

Go check out a naturopath or look for a men's clinic (they Rx for me, Tect Cyp, Anastrozole, HCG). Only downfall is insurance probably won't cover TRT from them. Might as well buy from sources and have blood work done yourself.
