If you guys don't know about this new system already..I actually spoke to a USPS postal inspector in person for about an hour the other day. I went in to file a complaint and get my money back on several OTC products I sold that they lost this month.
The inspector told me face to face they have a new system. Every single piece of mail has a picture taken of it. It will be scanned electronically every single time it switches hands or locations. The scans will be saved for several years. They will then have a system that tracks each and every person who they send or receive from. Essentially 6 degrees of separation with the mail system.
He said this year they can pull up a tracking number and effectively see the label, see the destination and the exact current location.
The problem with this is for people who are ordering things they should not online, there now is an identifying system.
Lets say you order AAS from XYZ gear..a year later he is busted. They go through all his scans, and see that he has shipped to you, or various other people. Granted, it will not "prove" any certain case, but it certainly would allow one to be flagged much easier, or to prove a case in court much easier.
I have no reason to believe that he was lying to me and not being 100% truthful.
