SHOULD THE PBD PODCAST HAVE A HEALTH SEGMENT?

Last week, I wrote an article that talked about Phil Heath being on the PBD Podcast. For those who didn’t read that article… shame on you. But all jokes aside, Phil has been a guest on the Valuetainment production that you can find on YouTube for several weeks now, and in my opinion, he is an excellent co-host to the show’s main host, Patrick Bet-David.

CONTRACTS IN BODYBUILDING

The fitness industry continues to be one of the most competitive markets on Earth. You have hundreds, if not thousands, of physically-fit, good looking, and ambitious men and women, all engaged in a dog-eat-dog atmosphere, where everyone wants to be sponsored. Some deals pay little more than a minimum wage retail job, but where the money is lacking, the personal pride and bragging rights of having a company backing you, takes over.

To say the death of Shawn Rhoden hit me like a ton of bricks, would be an understatement. I first saw the news on Nick Trigili’s Instagram. I was at a red light and couldn’t believe my eyes. It couldn’t be possible, I thought. Just a few days ago, I was doing an IG Live @StrengthAddicts and Shawn dropped by. He’d join my Lives from time to and time and we’d correspond quite often.

Just a day after Kevin Grech’s EvolutionOfBodybuilding.net released a couple of extremely questionable Big Ramy photos from the 2021 Mr. Olympia, bodybuilding fans can’t stop talking about what may very well have been a double standard. For weeks, viewers listened to the commentaries about Hadi and his allegedly “jimmied up delts.” The chatter seemed to have started with Chris “The Technician” Aceto at RX Muscle, but it certainly didn’t stop there.

WHAT SHOULD NICK WALKER DO NEXT?

Although a year may not seem like a very long time, at all, when you’ve accomplished as much as IFBB Pro Nick “The Mutant” Walker, it becomes abundantly clear that just one year can totally redefine your career. In 2021, The Mutant won two very important contests and made his Mr. Olympia debut in Orlando, FL. The three contests in question, just so happened to be the third, second, and first most important shows in pro bodybuilding. This is very significant because the young pro earned his card just a year ago at the North American Championships in Pittsburgh, PA.

WILL MORE 212LB BODYBUILDERS CROSSOVER TO OPEN?

by Christian Duque

Bodybuilding is the only division that’s really comprised of two two divisions. It reads confusing and sounds even more. How can you have two divisions that are essentially the same thing? The only difference between the two, is a weight cap; however, it’s not mutually exclusive. Open guys can’t crossover into 212, but 212 guys can compete in both. This creates an interesting situation after Shaun Clarida’s big win at the Reno Sports Fest, as well as Tonio Burton’s stellar outing. It’s got many pundits and fans talking.

IS THE SUPPLEMENT INDUSTRY A PERFECT TARGET FOR AN EASY PAYDAY?

by Matt Weik

Many people believe the supplement industry isn’t regulated and that it’s essentially the wild west where supplement brands are putting anything and everything in products, even if it’s illegal and harmful. Which we all know is not the truth. However, many think they can simply purchase a product, claim it doesn’t work, or they had an adverse effect, and then sue the company.
