WOULD YOU PERMANENTLY DELETE YOUR FITNESS FACEBOOK ACCOUNT FOR MONEY?

by Matt Weik

Social media is consuming a good part of our days. Don’t believe me? If you have an iPhone you can check thanks to a new feature called “Screen Time.” Now, this article has nothing to do with that app, but rather more about your fitness Facebook account specifically. I’m assuming if you have a fitness Facebook account and post regularly that the social media platform means something to you and is of value?

ARE BODYBUILDING PODCASTS MAKING A COMEBACK?

by Christian Duque

There was a time in the mid 2000’s where podcasts were the talk of the town. You had Pro Bodybuilding Weekly, which started it all, but you also have other podcasts like Muscular Development’s No Bull Radio. Podcasts offered their listeners a wide variety of content, from contest coverage and handicapping, to interesting interviews, to commentary about the sport’s history and current trends therein.

PROTEIN POWDER AND BARS ARE PERFECT TO HAVE ON HAND IN AN EMERGENCY

by Matt Weik

In the event of an emergency like the power going out in a snowstorm, a thunderstorm knocking out the electric, etc., do you have the things you would need to survive a few days (maybe even a month)? Personally, I’m not one of those people who run out and buy up anything and everything they can find thinking it’s a doomsday scenario. I plan and have all of my preparations well in advance. No, I’m not some crazy prepper with a bunker and a bug-out location somewhere in the woods.

TODAY’S BODYBUILDING SUPERSTARS ARE THE BEST OF ALL TIMES!

by Christian Duque

In 2019, when Brandon Curry won the Arnold Classic, William Bonac, who won the event in 2018, addressed his fans and told them to join him in congratulating the new champion. Curry and Bonac battled down to the wire, it was a very hard fought win for Curry, and a very narrow defeat for Bonac. It would have been very easy for Bonac to have nodded in disagreement, to have (barely) robotically shooken Curry’s hand on stage, and then gone onto to social media and done all the bodybuilding shows trashing him.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF THOSE EASTER EGGS

by Matt Weik

When Easter comes around this April, many families will be decorating Easter eggs. They’ll go through the process of hard-boiling the eggs and then decorate them all with a variety of colors yet when all is said and done, they aren’t sure what to do with the eggs. Do you toss them in the trash? Heck no! You eat those little protein-packed gems!

WILL COVID-19 SHOW MORE BUSINESSES THAT WORKING REMOTELY IS VIABLE?

by Matt Weik

You don’t need to convince me that working remotely is extremely beneficial. With my businesses, I’m able to work anywhere in the world and get everything I need done without sitting in a designated office space. That being said, even before I started my own businesses, I worked in the supplement industry where for years I traveled across the nation and then spent my Friday’s at home in my “office” space. Later, my role changed with the company which made working remotely the only means to get the job done without needing to relocate to Ronkonkoma, NY – which I wasn’t about to do.

Here, in America, millions of people are self-quarantining to do their part to stop the spread of the pandemic.

HOW TO STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR FITNESS WHEN APRIL SHOWERS HIT

by Matt Weik

We have all heard that “April showers bring May flowers.” One thing that April showers don’t bring is people to the gym. Where does everyone go when rainy April showers hit? Most people want to stay at home or go directly home after work because they don’t want to get wet. Bottom line is that while off-days are good for recovery, too many “off-days” can crush motivation and what once was a good workout routine.

by Matt Weik

What are supplement retailers willing to do to stay in business? Will they evolve or will they die? With the “Stay At Home” order that many Americans have been under, most people cannot and will not go outside where others gather. That being said, supplement retailers are able to stay open to help provide consumers with the ability to purchase things like a multivitamin, vitamin C, greens powder, immunity boosters, CBD, protein powder, pre-workouts, you name it.

ESSENTIAL BUSINESSES ONLY: LIQUOR STORES OPEN AND GYMS CLOSED?

by Matt Weik

I’m not the brightest light bulb out there but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. So, let me get this straight. Businesses are being forced to close their doors (against their will) in an effort to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Governors are out there telling everyone that all non-essential businesses are to lock their doors and cease operations for the time being. But guess what’s open? The liquor stores. I kid you not. Meanwhile, they have forced gyms closed over this whole mess.
