Deako's Journey to Shred!

Woke up at 4:45 this morning for my good morning pee, that usually happens at 1:55... (not upset that i slept like a rock for this long (thanks GH/sleep))... And was feeling pretty refreshed... Noticed last night that I have almost a dime sized blister on my pinky toe on my right foot... OUCH! Regardless, went and did my cardio this morning... 45 minutes on the elliptical at about 150 strides/minute with some resistance... good sweat!


Breakfast... 6 egg whites microwaved with onion/garlic powder, 3 slices of ezekiel bread that were made into open faced PB&J's (32g PB split over the 3 pcs and Walden farms strawberry jelly on top). SOOOOOO good...


18 days and counting fellas! I am starting to get a lil nervous... but its excited nervous...
That's a good thing!

See, my biggest problem is that I have worked so damn hard to get where I am at from where I was, and I have fear that I wont do well in the competition, when, knowing where I came from, I have already won first prize...

In being a realist... i know that the chance of winning my class are slim... am I giving it my all, and doing everyhting i can to try to win my class, ABSOLUTELY... but I am realistic... i know I have a lot of work to do to win a class... but like I said above, knowing where I came from I dont want to be disappointed with a mediocre placing because i know where I have come from... ya know?!? am i delusional, or am I making sense?

You're just being realistic...and that's the way to be. We all know that guy/gal that looks amazing...then they step on stage and get 5th in a small, local show; there's always someone better...that's just the nature of the sport...and life!

You know you've gone all out, and you'll always have the pics to show that you competed and how hard you worked for it. 99% of the public hasn't done that!

Just give it your all, have fun, and eat/drink your face off afterwards! :D

so after eating my pre-workout meal, I felt a lot better. Went and killed a leg day that didnt involve a whole lot of heavy movements, but nonetheless, I left feeling it... hard... LOL and after my dinner, I felt even better... So if this is a sign, that getting some carbs in me is what is going to make me feel descent, then tomorrow will be a great day!
 
Today is my first re-feed this week, and it could not have come at a better time! LOL

Breakfast this morning was 3 whole eggs, 25g protein from liquid egg whites (230g), and 1 cup of brown rice :-) Heaven!

Coach surprised me with a carb slice this morning... normal days down to 110g/day and refeeds from 280g/day to 260g/day...

I was doing quite a bit of whining yesterday... LOL that was the depleted mind talking.

Feeling much better today... who knew that Brown rice could make me feel so good! LOL thats the only type of carbs I have had today... mainly because its a main carb that doesnt bloat me... so i eat the hell outta that!

Yeah, you can mix brown rice with damn near anything, too!

Through 4 meals, eating the 4th now pre training, I will have consumed 4.5 cups of brown rice... sooo good... add some italian seasoning and onion powder... quality combo right there!
 
And in the cafe at work is an Olive Garden spread that is about 20 containers long... WTF... I see this while i heat up my tuna and brown rice... NOT FAIR... just NOT FAIR...
 
Just found out that my buddy's mom is making him and I pumpkin cheesecake muffins for after the show... sooo pumped!
 
Found some wild caught whiting on sale at Kroger tonight... House smells like white fish :-)

I am happy that I can switch it up from canned tuna :-)

Oh and thanks Kroger for putting fish on sale!

Woke up this morning feeling pretty darn good... has 1 liter of water upon waking... and my traditional eggs and ezekiel for brekky :-)...

Another low carb day today... so we will see how this works, but i have noticed a NICE improvement in energy with a timely MONSTER ZERO in the early afternoon to get me through that rut...
 
Got my peak week protocol last night and there will be some small modifications to it, naturally, based on stage time, etc. But lets just say that it is going to be a tough week... but I have one more week to get there... ALMOST THERE and HAVE TO PUSH THROUGH!

Got a shitty night of sleep.. but my 45 minutes of medium intensity cardio this morning hit the spot... i have a surge of energy right now... just pounded my breakfast while checkin out the forums here before work!

Breakfast:
6-egg whites
1-whole egg
3-slices Ezekiel Bread (low sodium) toasted
28g(1serving)-Mexican Fiesta shredded cheese - portioned over the three pieces of toast
1-cup of black coffee
1-liter of water + MIO fit Orange
3caps EPITREN
2caps Advanced Cycle Support
