For those of you who haven’t heard, the Mars Candy Company has launched two new products that seem to be an attempt to step on some industry toes. What I mean by this is that they launched a Mars as well as a Snickers protein powder.

This is such a hot topic right now and one that I’ve covered in the past. However, this article is going to move in a slightly different direction in regards to supplement label transparency. And as always, you know how I roll, this article may trigger a few people. I’m ok with that, but what I’m about to say needs to be heard because, well, here today gone tomorrow is a real thing and you don’t want to be next.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the marketing of products these days is starting to get a little out of hand. Brands are making some pretty outlandish call-outs on labels and marketing materials and causing the naïve to be suckered into thinking that products with added protein are high in protein like the label claims. But not so fast. For many products, sure, they have added protein in them, but it’s a glorified unhealthy product. Many protein bars out there fit the bill. It’s simply a glorified candy bar.

Today’s business world is all about speed. The slower it takes for something to come to market, the quicker it becomes outdated and obsolete. If you want to completely disrupt the fitness industry, you’re going to need to go FAST and HARD. This isn’t a side hustle type of mentality. This is a go hard or go home business decision. Once your idea becomes public, there will be people out there looking to knock you off with either a better version of what you’re putting out (service or product) or at a cheaper price point. What you need to do act quickly, get all your ducks in a row, take a deep breath, and start running.
