Good work, mang!![]()
update picture!
Drop the bread; watch how quickly you tighten up.Thanks guy! Getting close to where I'd like to be. Haven't really been weighing out my food so I'm not sure if I've been eating at my calories 100% but I've been trying to get the same sized foods everyday to make it easier (mainly grilled chicken & bread, hard boiled eggs / nuts for fats). Got another week left for clen and probably around the same for my Halo then it's time for maintenance calories and PCT! Can't wait!
Drop the bread; watch how quickly you tighten up.
The less starch and simple carbs on a cut (especially a hard one) the better. Eat more green veggies in place of bread...guarantee you'll tighten up fast.I'm already at 125g.. Why drop the bread?

If you're not lowering cals, you can replace carbs with healthy fats as your energy source.Should i replace the caloried with fats or just leave em? 225 protein 67 fat low carb
If you're trying to stay lean and tight (less water retention) you can keep carbs low. Fats are important during PCT to aid in recovery. Also would I want to avoid carbs during pct it wait until after pct when I cut again?

Howarth, interesting article by Lyle M. on this:
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/nutrition/how-many-carbohydrates-do-you-need.html/
Scroll down to thIs paragraph:
How Many Carbs Do I Need to Spare Protein Loss?
Good plan. Yea I like his articles.Good article! I was reading a different one by him earlier it was called losing fat for athletes or something. Anyway 50g would be no problem for meon PCT. I'll ramp up the fats to help with natural test production and get my carbs from peanuts! Gonna start up the keto style on Sunday or Monday.. That's when My PCT starts
Eb, I read that in a keto state <50g carbs a day; you don't want to eat a whole lot of protein because the body will still want to use glucose as energy and will take it from protein/muscle through glycogenesis... Any thoughts?
Yup, that article's pretty much spot on.Good article! I was reading a different one by him earlier it was called losing fat for athletes or something. Anyway 50g would be no problem for meon PCT. You are looking great Howarth.
Good job.
I usually stay around that but it always comes out to be higher cause I like protein.Hey lat you know how you said you usually never go much higher than 1g/LB for protein... Even so when on ph? Because of increased protein synthesis..?
I usually stay around that but it always comes out to be higher cause I like protein.
The research shows lower however it said that those on unusually high anabolics might need more than the researched .82g/lbs.
It's not going to hurt to go higher than 1g/lbs to err on the safe side. Again most end up higher than that anyways.
Well im sure you'll be fine, most of us consume enough protein not to phuck up muscle retention/synthesis.Yeah I understand, I just hate this grilled chicken here at the college cafe lol
I've done it both ways: reverse and jumped right into it, didn't notice too much difference in the long run but nowadays I do reverse diet to chill out the GI symptoms of bloat, water weight etc.
Think your macros are fine either way as long as protein/fat minimums are met.
The PhD dudes on bb.com use .45g/lbs in their replies so that's what I use as minimums but of course you can go higher provided your staying within your target daily kcals.Think I'll run with 1g for protein miniumum (gonna keep at 200 while in PCT) and what about fat? .4 or .45?
Remember, you have to find out what your current maintenance is...and reverse dieting is definitely the safer option.I don't need to reverse diet do I? I'm at 2000 right now and figure I'll hop back to 2700 calories for maintenance. Can I just go from 2000 to 2700 one day? Also don't think I'm gonna do keto but I'll bring my fats up. How high do they need to be for PCT?
Right now I'm thinking 200g protein, 290 carbs, 82 fat. Or would 200P/310C/73F be better?
