Consistency has always been the name of the game for the man known as The Oak in the sport of bodybuilding. Ever since he first discovered the sport in his teens the Austrian native has taken to weight-training, regimented eating, and an attention to supplementation unlike any other. It didn’t matter if he was preparing for a competition or a photoshoot he was all in for a life where feeling and looking one’s best were the goals of the day. Whereas other celebrities yoyo from frighteningly skinny to morbidly obese looks this has never been an issue with the man known worldwide by his first name only.

I’m just going to say it like it is… Who cares? Not only do many people in the industry not care for Generation Iron and their “news” reporting, but Kai Greene isn’t even relevant anymore. Not only that but he’s burned just about every bridge he’s had in this industry — including the fans.

If anyone remembers the Challenge Round at the Mr. Olympia they will remember that it created shockwaves throughout the sport of bodybuilding. For the first time up until then the fans were more or less a captive audience watching as the judges made all of the calls that mattered at the competition.

When news broke that 7x Mr. Olympia Phil “The Gift” Heath would be replacing “Sugar” Shawn Ray as Olympia commentator it sent shockwaves throughout the fitness industry. Phil is not a well-liked champion. His antics earned him this distinction. From attacking fans who doubted him, to bashing social media outlets who were hard on him, to bullying his peers on camera no less (e.g. Kai Greene, Shawn Rhoden), Heath has the support of few people and even fewer companies. Were it not for the fact he’s associated with Dani Garcia & The Rock, Phil wouldn’t have too many options.
