I’m going to preface this by saying YOU may be offended by this article. And it’s ok to have those feelings. But, if you experience such feelings, this article was probably written looking directly at you. I’m not naïve to think that this article is going to be a hit with everyone, but at the same time, it’s something I think many of us need to hear. Some of you maybe see things the same way that I do and will find humor in what is said and will love reading this article. Regardless, you may agree or disagree and your positioning and stance might be different than another reader, but at the end of the day, there’s a correlation between participation trophies and snowflakes.

Would Jay Cutler Ever Come Back?

I cover a lot of contests, all throughout the country, and anyone who knows me, knows I love to talk. I can talk about a variety of topics, from history to food to sports, but I don’t love all sports the same. I live for bodybuilding. Whether it’s bodybuilding, men’s physique, figure or bikini, I live for physique-based sports.

Fitness, Family, Finances: A Balancing Act

We are pulled in many directions these days. Many of us (especially if you’re reading this) focus on our overall health and fitness and make it a priority. If you are married and have a family, there’s another box you need to check as a priority. Lastly, you worked hard for several years to move ahead with your career or business so your overall financial situation needs to be a focus as well. The combination of these things becomes quite the balancing act.

Cedric McMillan Gets Mr. Olympia Special Invite

The world of IFBB Pro League bodybuilding was on fire last week when the news broke out at the 2017 Arnold Classic Champion, Cedric McMillan had been extended a rare Mr. Olympia special invite. To date, such invites have only been given to Kevin Levrone and Kai Greene, two other, former Arnold Classic champions. Levrone took his shot, bringing an impressive physique after a huge absence from the sport and despite some injury-rehab setbacks, got on stage.

The Urgency to Do it NOW So You Aren’t Living with Regret

The topic of this article is somewhat not the norm but I feel as though it needs to be said as it can transition through many areas of your life – including health and fitness. Far too many people push things off, don’t follow through, and never think they are able to do or accomplish something. This can range from getting on the bodybuilding stage, to starting a business, to asking out the hot chick you just met, to traveling the world – insert whatever you want to fit your personal life. You need to live life with some urgency so you aren’t living with regret.

Is Phil Heath the Next Kai Greene?

By Christian Duque

Yeah… you read that title right. Here’s the problem I have with Phil Heath. Ok, I have many, but the main one as of late, has been the vagueness in his comments. Is he doing the Olympia or is he not? What’s up with all the dodgy answers? The Olympia is the biggest contest in bodybuilding. The defending champion remains banned. Kai has not received a special invite. Big Ramy is not doing the contest. At a time when the event could really use a major feather in its cap, Phil is playing Kai Greene.

Dexter Jackson’s GOAT Check

  • 3 min read

by Geoff Roberts

When I first became interested in the world of bodybuilding over fifteen years ago, Dexter Jackson was already the man. In 2004 Dexter was already placing top three at the Mr. Olympia, vying for the Arnold Classic title, and had already won several professional shows. Flash forward to today and Dexter is the owner of more professional titles than any man in history, more Arnold Classic titles than any man in history, and a measly old Mr. Olympia title to boot. Some argue Dexter is the greatest bodybuilder of all time. With 29 wins, 5 Arnold Classic wins, and 1 Mr. Olympia win, these individuals can make a decent case, but usually fail at convincing most fans and pundits. If The Blade can manage to bump those numbers up to 30, 5 and 2, the Dexter GOAT conversation will instantly be taken far more seriously.
