Now, in the past, I’ve done several articles on influencers in the fitness space and broke down the good, the bad, and the ugly, but today I want to applaud the success and hustle of two fitness influencers in particular – Bradley Martyn and Christian Guzman.

Tony Huge (or Dr. Tony Huge, if you will) has become one of the most popular names in the fitness industry. Although he’s clueless as far as who I am, I do like to show him love on IG and articles like these because I think it’s important to celebrate the big names in our sport. By celebrating him, that doesn’t mean I’m not critical of him at times, but you can’t deny he’s a well-liked, very intelligent, and highly driven individual.

In the past, I wrote an article about Coca-Cola with coffee in it (Coca-Cola Plus Coffee). Now, Pepsi seems to want to play in the same sandbox too. It was released that PepsiCo, in 2020, will release a Pepsi Café beverage that will have a rich coffee flavor along with the cola taste they are known for. Will the Pepsi Café drain people’s bank accounts or will it be a dud?

Ever since wearable technology has come to the market, it’s been changing the way many people view their health and fitness. This is everything from tracking your workouts, to tracking your nutrition, tracking your heart rate, counting your steps, telling you when you need to stand up and move, notifying you to drink water, and many other useful features. While there are many wearing tech pieces out there, in this article I’m focusing solely on the one that just made the news (again) – the Apple Watch and its integration with Crunch Fitness locations.

When news that the Mr. Olympia had been put up for sale and that Jake Wood of Wings of Strength purchased it, the news spread like wildfire. Over the course of just about five years, WOS has put Women’s Bodybuilding back on the map, with a consistent number of top notch events, partnering up with great promoters, and earning the left-for-dead division considerable fanfare.

To say fans are a little disappointed with Big Ramy is an understatement. 2019 was the most epic fail of all his years competing. After not even placing top five at the 2018 Mr. Olympia competition, Big Ramy failed to make it to the stage at all in 2019. While many are excited to see him jump on a bodybuilding stage in 2020, few have their reservations on how long Big Ramy will continue to compete.

When I first saw the hashtag by Phil Heath of #breakingolympia on his Instagram I was intrigued. Then I let my mind wander and it took me places that had me a little worried about the Olympia. What exactly is Breaking Olympia? As we have found out from others in the industry, such as Nick’s Strength & Power, this is indeed a film or documentary on Phil Health. Not much else has been mentioned. But here’s what we know and what we can piece together (or at least assume).

The 2008 Mr. Olympia winner trains methodically, giving 110% with each workout from the Mecca of Bodybuilding, Gold’s Gym, Venice Beach. On the latest bodybuilding interview over on the Valuetainment YouTube channel, Patrick Bet-David sat down with Shawn Ray to discuss everything bodybuilding related. As usual, there were a few questions thrown at Shawn Ray that were meant to stir the pot a little bit, and Shawn did not back down from the questions or give the politically correct answer – which he never does. This caused quite the stir on social media and I’m not so sure the shade thrown at Shawn Ray was warranted.

You know you’re in the off-season when two bodybuilders are bickering over whose keto approach is superior to the other. In all fairness, IFBB Pro Brad Rowe isn’t so much bickering, he did take a dig at RxMuscle’s Dave Palumbo on Fouad Abiad’s Real Bodybuilding Podcast. Apparently, Brad favors more fat whereas Palumbo favors more protein, but he wasn’t looking to create any drama. Rowe from what I gather, believes that too much protein will kick someone out of ketosis, while Palumbo argues that so long as protein is utilized correctly. And that won’t kick someone one out of ketosis and will actually help physique-based athletes relative to muscle-building, muscle-retention, and overall success on stage.
